As I was putting the class booklet together for our class, I was extremely entertained by the school stories, and sincerely touched by the reflections of our lives. We really are a truly a special group of people and as one teacher stated to me in later years, “the last of the golden classes.” We are there for one another in so many ways. This is also the most exciting year for me because after 10 years I got to get a new picture on my drivers license! Everyone hates that picture, but 10 years ago I couldn’t believe they slapped this unrecognizable person on a piece of plastic they said was me. It’s terrible when you have to convince people that that picture is really you. Now I have an "acceptable" replacement. I can hardly wait to get pulled over! Life is good for me and I'm enjoying everyday. I read a lot and keep my two cats company, while my wonderful husband is still “bringing home the bacon”. Still wrestling with not working everyday, so I am hostessing for Fish Fries on Friday nights at the local pub. It kind of keeps me sane. |
